MIND CTI Provides Mediation Solution for SingTel VoicePlus
MIND CTI Ltd. (NASDAQ: MNDO), a leading developer and worldwide provider of billing and customer care, Singapore Telecommunications (SingTel), Asia’s leading communication company, and SingTel Aeradio, a member of SingTel Group, today announced the signing of a contract for the delivery of MIND’s mediation solution for SingTel’s VoicePlus service that is based on a new soft-switch technology.
The MIND-iPhonEX® Mediation solution provides SingTel the ability to smoothly migrate its voice infrastructure while maintaining its legacy OSS/BSS systems unchanged. The real-time mediation system collects, aggregates and correlates VoIP traffic. The system generates consolidated CDR (Call Detail Record) information, which can be easily configured for distribution to SingTel’s various back-office systems. The solution underwent several months of testing and was found to be highly flexible, scalable and answering SingTel’s high-availability demands.
The solution was implemented by SingTel Aeradio, who provides consultancy, turnkey project implementation, maintenance and facilities management services.
“VoicePlus, with its focus on quality and reliability, is an important service for SingTel because it enables us to push the envelope of packet-based technologies to deliver both traditional voice services as well as new value-added voice services. Together with our partners and SingTel Aeradio, we hope to bring the quality and capabilities of our VoicePlus service to a new level,” said Mr. Masagos Zulkifli, a senior director in SingTel’s International Carrier Services Group.
Launched at CommunicAsia 2002 in Singapore, SingTel’s VoicePlus service redefines premium quality voice delivery using next-generation VoIP technology. Targeted at resellers of international telephone services and mobile carriers in the region, it provides quality termination in Australia, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, United Kingdom and United States.
“SingTel Aeradio is proud to be the system integrator in this IP-based switch project. We strongly believe that with the successful implementation of the IP-based switch, SingTel’s premium voice services can be delivered through this next-generation packet infrastructure. With our capability in offering a full suite of infocomm solutions, and the concerted efforts of SingTel, we will be able to deliver the most effective solutions to meet the needs of SingTel's customers,” said Mr. Wong Soon Nam, Chief Operating Officer of SingTel Aeradio.
“We are pleased to be selected again by SingTel for this strategic project and greatly appreciate the added value that SingTel Aeradio has brought to the successful deployment,” said Mr. Sagee Aran, Vice President of Professional Services at MIND. “This is another proof of our leading real-time mediation and service enabling technology and of our market presence in Asia Pacific.”
