CSG SYSTEMS AND MIND CTI DELIVER PRE-INTEGRATED SOLUTION TO SUPPORT ADVANCED IP SERVICES

Offering Brings Together Flexibility and Performance to Enable Innovative Prepaid and Postpaid IP Service Offerings


CSG Systems (NASDAQ: CSGS) and MIND C.T.I. LTD. (NASDAQ: MNDO), today announced the two companies have forged a partnership and are offering a pre-integrated solution to support advanced IP services for prepaid and postpaid services globally.

This solution brings together the CSG kenan Prepaid and MIND-iPhonEX solutions as a pre-integrated offering for IP access, content and Voice over IP (VoIP) services. With the combination of CSG kenan Prepaid and MIND-iPhonEX, operators can capture, authorize, balance and manage in real-time any services delivered across any IP network, either as a standalone solution or to complement their existing systems.

In the joint solution, kenan Prepaid supplies highly advanced rating, charging and balance management functionality and MIND-iPhonEX supplies flexible, standards-based network control. MIND-iPhonEX controls at the network level each session in which a subscriber is requesting access to IP services. With each session, MIND-iPhonEX continually communicates the information at the network level to kenan Prepaid using the open Parlay standard, which then checks the request against subscriber’s balances and authorizes the request. Because kenan Prepaid can simultaneously manage multiple balances associated with a single customer and/or multiple concurrent transactions against a single balance in real-time, the pre-integrated solution enables operators superior flexibility to seamlessly handle IP services at all levels from the network to the end customer.

In addition, the joint solution gives carriers the ability to manage both prepaid and postpaid customer bases simultaneously. This empowers operators to centrally manage customers and opens opportunities for cross-promotions, discounts and special offers for customers using both types of services.

MIND-iPhonEX supports ongoing market changes and industry trends, featuring the easy bundling of new services into packages suitable for different types of customers, to enable voice, data and content services. The MIND platform is a real-time Service Enabling solution allowing mobile and fixed operators to provide advance data and content services for both prepaid and post-paid subscribers. The solution includes real-time AAA and subscriber profile management, collection and correlation of all billable events for managing subscribers credit, when using simultaneous voice, data and content services, preventing revenue leakage and fraud.

CSG kenan Prepaid works in combination with the CSG kenan®/BP billing engine to provide comprehensive, converged prepaid and postpaid billing capabilities based on an open architecture. CSG kenan Prepaid delivers complete prepaid functionality--for both voice and data--from real-time transaction processing to dynamic balance management that enables customers to manage multiple wallets and transfer money from one balance to another.
